2012 - A New Year, a New Start, lets use it wisely.
A dynamic church starts off with a spirited people . We are Spirited - a people filled with the Spirit of God and willing and obedient to the move of God in every day life. Jesus declared that the temple of God “you and me” should be a House of Prayer (Mat.21:13). This person (each individual) and a congregation come together to make a praying church. Just as the Apostles with the first church; “and they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers”. (Acts 2:42)

There are five basic ingredients needed for corporate prayer to become alive and vibrant.
First - the pastor must be a take charge leader. Spiritual and knowledgeable leader, spirit filled and a praying pastor. Pastors should build excitement about prayer by regularly sharing answers to prayer from the pulpit.
Second - church leaders/ministers/staff should also attend – lead prayer as directed by the spirit and be an example to the congregation of Christian ministry and the power of the spirit.
Third - there should be a recognized place of worship and prayer. The church building or a large room where there is ample space to pray, actively move about if needed, and to have as many that would come get in.
Fourth - a time that will work for the culture and those interested. The place of agreement/ consensus and a beginning and a finish point. One hour generally works because it is specific, timely, and consistent. It works because it is not a one shot deal and God works in discipline and order. More prayer people will show up and keep showing up.
Fifth - the more the better. Those that are not experienced Prayers will become so if those that know will demonstrate the flow of the spirit and be verbal.

The other part that needs to happen is for the church/ congregation to follow seven principles in the prayer meeting. Like worship, praying the word, and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. Jesus prayed daily and sought revelation from the Father, so should we. Jesus is our ministry example, let’s pray like Jesus, get a word from the Father and do what He says. That is when miracles happen, God performs His word with sign following as we follow Him and obey His revelation. (Mark 16:20)

This year decide to know our Lord’s voice and direction. Remember He believes in you. Yes you can have miracles buy knowing His voice, yes you can know forgiveness. For our God and Father loves you, and has a place for you in His Kingdom that is eternal. This life is temporary, this culture is fleeting, and the devil is deceiving. Come and hear “The Truth”. God is ready and willing, are you? Everyone is welcome.

See you in soon!
